[Continued from Trip to Surat] We started our journey from Surat at around 9 pm. We boarded the Sayaji Nagari Express which leaved Surat at 10 am and reached Valsad at around 11 o' clock. From there we hired a Auto Rickshaw which took us to Tithal. We booked a room in Hotel Sri Lekha and went straight to the beach which was a few steps away from the Hotel. On reaching the sea beach of Tithal we were quite excited because the sea beach was much better than that of Dumas beach at Surat. But it was quite late in the afternoon so we decided to have lunch first and then in the evening we would come to the sea again. It was mandatory to have food in the Hotel's restaurant at least once in a day. So we had the lunch there. Gujarati and Punjabi dishes were mainly served in the hotel. The food was not bad but it was not up to the mark.
Everything was good so far but things turned worse when we saw that the sea had shifted a long distance from its original position in the evening. Although this broke our heart but we came to know from the Hotel manager that there was a temple of Sai Baba nearby. We started walking along the sea coast. It took about 10 minutes to reach the temple from our hotel. In the temple there was an idol of the famous Shirdi Sai Baba. After that we hired an auto which would take us to Valsad town. The incident that took after that really suprised us. The Autowallah got down from the main road and took a narrow road. We asked him where he was taking us but he said that it was a shortcut route. The road was very narrow and there was shrubs on both sides. Atlast we reached Valsad. There we did some shopping. Then we had dinner at the Udipi Restaurant where Punjabi cuisine was served. The food was very good and delicious. After having a good dinner, we came back to our hotel. The next day we would go to Daman.
How to Reach :
You can reach Valsad either from Surat or from Mumbai (Bombay). From there you can hire auto rickshaws which will take you to Tithal.
From Surat Railway Station, 12922 Flying Rani Express leaves at 05:25 hrs and reaches Valsad at 06:41 hrs. 12934 Karnavati Express leaves Surat at 08:41 hrs and reaches Valsad at 09:30 hrs. 12926 Paschim Express departs from Surat at 10:45 hrs and reaches at 11:43 hrs. From Mumbai, 12935 Bandra-Surat Intercity Express leaves Mumbai at 06:50 hrs and reaches Valsad at 09:58 hrs.
